Reading books for kids will be fun when the book has a colorful bookmark to it. But do you want to know what’s even more fun? It’s when your kids make the bookmark on their own.

They can make these super easy and super fun paper monster bookmarks with the help of our free printable template. You can make two different kinds of bookmarks with one single sheet of the template.

How To Make DIY Monster Corner Bookmarks: Step By Step

Materials Required

  • Any colored papers
  • Sketches
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Our printable template (download it below)

Step 1

Download our free printable and print it. You can directly print it on color paper or you can print it on a white paper and trace it on the color paper. You can also use origami paper or scrapbook paper.

Step 2

Cut out both the bookmarks and monster nose.

Step 3

Fold ½ cm of monster bookmark towards back. This half centimetre is used to glue to the monster bookmark.

Step 4

Stick googly eyes on to your monster bookmark. You can also use our free template to glue eyes onto your monster bookmark. I have used googly eyes to make it more pop.

You can play around and be creative by using different kinds of eyes or different sizes of eyes.

Step 5

Use colored sketches to draw a mouth on your monster. Be creative while drawing mouth, you can draw with teeth or without teeth.

Step 6

Draw eyebrows and also make any kind of patterns on the bookmark.
