Kids love eating watermelon, so why not make this simple DIY decor craft from disposable plates that has a painting of watermelon?

The fun part is that you can place it on your homework desk or hang it on wall and store all of your things in it. If you are into making simple and easy crafts, this is the one you and your kids can do.

Lets get started.

How To Make A DIY Decor Craft From Disposable Plates: Step By Step

Materials Required

  • 2 disposable paper plates
  • Colors (any colors available to you)
  • Scissors
  • Glue/double tape

Step 1

Cut out a disposable paper plate into half.

Step 2

Glue the half cut plate on a full sized plate. The front side of the plates must face each other in such a way that there is space in between them .You can use glue or double tape to stick them together. Make sure to stick them well and set it to dry.

Step 3

Paint the corners of the half plate with green color. You can use any kind of green.

Step 4

Paint red color on the middle of the half plate.

Step 5

Now it’s time to paint the seeds and there are two options to do it. You can either paint them or you can just use a black marker. Paint or mark  all over the red colored area.

Step 6

You can now store your things in this cute little storage. Stick it on a wall using double tape or just keep it beside your study table.
